I realize that it is only two games into the new season, but something needs to be done defensively or the season is going to be a flop.

Giving up over 110 per game is a date with the draft lottery situation that we have progressed away from, and I am very worried. Neither the Nets or the Bulls should be considered as top level scoring machines at this point in the season.

Concerns of shooting percentages, etc, etc, probably need to stop and perhaps a full time discussion on defense may be warranted.

Clyde part of the issue is rebounding. controlling the defensive glass thus eliminating more shot attempts by the other team. Also closing out on the perimeter has been lacking in both games.

While we have spent a lot of time praising additions to the Celtics other teams like the Bulls have gotten better. The Celtics are not sneaking up on anyone this year.

I think the defense will improve but rebounding is a variable in that equation.
