A loss against a Celtics team is not acceptable when they are missing Al Horford and Crowder

Wall needs to make up for getting outplayed by a guy 6 inches shorter who was drafted 59 spots later.
Avery Bradley is a 6'2 SG and he's averaging almost 9 rebounds a game while also leading the team in them. That's crazy.

Limiting Bradley from outside is gonna be a key factor, he has shown he can go off from distance. - Keeping IT off the free throw line. Gortat has to contest without fouling.

Avery Bradley is gonna take Beal's lunch money. AB takes defense very personally and when he smells blood in the water, like a guard with a shaky handle

If we can't beat the Celtics missing key pieces... Season is officially over. This squad already feels like it has no heart, this would be a back breaker.

Why are they a bad matchup though? I wondered about that last season. Their stretch bigs would hurt us last season, but Olynyk is hurt and Sullinger is gone, I wonder if that will make a difference.

Their guards/wings are a bad matchup Wiz are a guard-oriented team, Boston has great perimeter defense Fortunately Crowder is out, but that still isn’t making me confident

IT isn't much of a defender. But he's a prolific scorer who presents his own problems Bradley, Smart, Crowder those are three guys they can put on any perimeter player I guess one hope is that their defense has been almost as bad as ours this season though (so far)

Brad Stevens is about to coach circles around us I expect Olynyk to make atleast 3 triples while Gortat flails at him from the foul line, and Smart to completely abuse Thornton in every conceivable way.

Olynyk has been out a long time IF he plays tonight I’m not expecting much from him.

With no Horford and Olynyk they lose the little shooting they had, and with no Crowder (and if Smart doesn’t play) the D drops a significant level too. There’s really not much left as to why this team should beat us.

IT going off for 30+ points Bradley probably raining in like 6 3s. Hell, Amir Johnson is probably gonna add like 3 3s of his own with our 3pt defense.

I fully expect IT to scorch us But not from 3, that’s not really his game. And that may be our biggest weakness. But still, IT and Bradley need to go off, because they don’t have much other offensive talent and the D has been atrocious (111.8 ppg).

Olynyk's playing now I fully expect 4 3s from him. Probably a couple backbreakers from someone random like Brown.

First off, Olynyk kinda sucks That’s great that he can shoot 3’s at a decent clip, but it’s his only NBA skill. He’s a slightly better version of Jason Smith. And he hasn’t played in a game in 8 months, there is no excuse for him lighting us up.

Can I ask a favor that we don't rip John for a 5’8" guy scoring 26pts/night going off? Seems like Wiz fans always rip John for IT scoring but Thomas is an elite scorer and a little dude who someone John’s size just cannot stay in front of. Our only chance with him given we don't really have rim protection is to physically beat on him so he scores like 25 thru 3 quarters but ends up with 28pts

Thomas is a beast of a scorer. The Celtics-Cavs game last week (?) I watched him take Lebron off the dribble and finish at the rim numerous times. Dude just flat out knows how to score and use his small size to his advantage.

I fully expect us to blow out the Celtics tonoghy I have no reason to believe this except for a gut feeling that Kieff goes off and wall and beal wanting to show that horrford that he made the wrong choice.

Shocking prediction: Celtics will outscore us from three by a bajillion and force TOs, will win the game.

The Cs are 3-3 and have a better bench than the Wizards.

The bus stop near my house has a better bench than the Wizards.

Maybe Gortat shows out so he can become trade bait to the Celtics for 1 of there picks

Wiz must be one of the best 1st quarter teams in the NBA. Maybe it's because opponents take them lightly.

The main thing in this game I saw from the guys was a sense of urgency, and belief in themselves They moved the ball, and shared the ball…they need to continue playing like this regardless if the 3’s are falling or not
