I do not think that Thomas has to win a championship to be considered a super star. He is playing like one right now, but his history of playing at this high of a level has not yet been proven so I do not think that he can yet be considered as such.

As far as trading him, the return is going to have to be very good or Ainge may get hung by any one of about 25 M Cs fans. With that said, a contract issue is possibly looming with Thomas and his "back up the Brinks truck" thoughts that could force Ainge to trade him next season at the deadline.

Of course, if Thomas finishes this season like he has been playing for the last month and he plays the same way next season up to the trading deadline we may all be able to consider him a true super star at that time which will change the idea of having a problem backing up the Brinks truck.
