Report: Knicks contact Celtics about trade for Camelo Anthony

Phil Jackson is determined to get Carmelo Anthony off the Knicks' roster and has reached out to several teams -- including the Celtics -- about a possible trade, according to The Vertical.


Despite trade rumors, 'Melo 'committed' to Knicks

Adrian Wojnarowski and Chris Mannix reported that Jackson wants to rebuild the Knicks around Kristaps Porzingis. Anthony has a no-trade clause in his contract but Jackson is hopeful he'll agree to waive it. League sources reportedly said that "[the] Clippers are a team that would interest Anthony."

The Vertical reports that the Knicks have also contacted the Cavaliers and Clippers about 'Melo. Reports circulated Wednesday that the Cavs turned down a deal centered around Anthony and Kevin Love.

The Celtics have been linked to Anthony in trade rumors in the past.
