Above link compares a teams actual league finish vs its actual lottery order. The lottery started in 1985 and over those 32 years only 6 teams that finished with the worst record during the regular season ended up with the number 1 pick - that's only 18.8% - not very good odds.
Add last years 76ers #1 pick while finishing with the worst record to the list.
