now I will go the other direction. What IF Danny strikes out. no team is willing to trade a current all-star, even for all Dannys many assets. What if all the top FA's spurn Boston for other teams or to stay where they are.

Or maybe Danny is adding future assets because he knows we are simply too far away from beating Cleveland and GS. Adding All-stars now, leaves us short in his mind.

we would not be a better team than now, but we would still be one of the top 5 teams in the NBA and have lots of options for long term improvement.
