A very solid return!

It is unfortunate that Rondo never learned to shoot or recovered to what he was pre-injury. But time is healing the wounds there and I am less annoyed with him now than I was 2010-2014. He deserves to be cheered in the Garden w/e he returns!

Rondo and Tony Allen the only members of the '08 team still playing?

We got the most out of Jae Crowder; so far anyway.

What a great surprise. Who would have ever guessed he would turn out to be the asset he has?

Forget the other four guys, Crowder by himself was worth trading Rondo.

If one or more of Yabusele, Ojeleye or Jackson contributes this trade was an overwhelming
win for Ainge.

What's crazy is Jameer Nelson is still a solid starting point guard, and we got him in the trade and just released him.

I forgot about Jameer Nelson. That's right!

Giving Rondo his due where it's earned; as a Bostonian friend of mine pointed out today, if Rondo doesn't go down in the playoffs, Boston may not have made it past the first round.  We'll never know, but he sure shut IT down until he got hurt.  How strange would that have been?  Rondo can still play.

Rondo may or may not have led Chicago to a first round upset. No one will ever know.

Yes, he is still a decent player, but when he was traded for Crowder our re-build started to really take off.

Rondo was getting selfish ("I have not played any defense in two years" said it all for me) and was worrying about his next contract.  Crowder came to town and changed the way our team began to think about itself.   Accountability (player and team) rose, excuses diminished and then have not been heard since, physical and mental toughness grew, wins started to happen, playoffs positions were gained, some playoff games have now been won, etc, etc, etc.

Still glad that trade was made, and always will be.  The trade to move Rondo on to Dallas really allowed Stevens and his staff to shine.

We got great value in the Rondo trade and it is still paying off. Crowder added shooting and toughness to the team but the key trade was getting IT.

RR really was impressive in the playoffs.

an overwhelming win?

so Basically so far we have Crowder ( an NBA starter) , Robinson (out of the NBA), Jackson ( an end of bench/D'leaguer), Yabusele (has yet to play an NBA game) ans Semi ( a second round pick who may or may NOT ever make an NBA roster).

for Rondo ( Still starting PG in the NBA) and Powell ( a rotational player at Dallas the past two years).

now I am WAY glad Rondo is gone, but I can't look at the "haul" we got back and say that's an overwhelming win for Danny. Maybe in a year or two?...who knows but NOT today.

unless you figure getting Rondo out of here for anything was worth it...then I might agree.
