He was all about winning - but always recognized that he was in the entertainment business as well - the first of the showtime ball handlers in the Nba it was always SHOW TIME for Cousy and he didn't disappoint.

Happy birthday Robert Joseph Cousy. I don't remember your playing days, but I remember your sideline commentary. You had a great career.
I imagine that photo was taken on the 30th or 40th anniversary of the 1957 championship. Does anyone know for sure?

He was also the first president of the NBA Player's Union, in 1954. It was the first player's union of any of the major sports. His successor? Tommy.

There's a great multi panel display of Cooz at the Springfield HOF. The panels stand about 8 feet high, and about 4 feet in width. Each is a freeze-frame shot of him picking the ball up off the dribble, around his back, and up for a layup. I think there are around 7 panels in the sequence.
