Marcus Smart “I’ve lost 20 pounds”
Looks like he got a little shook up with the talk, trades and all that has gone on in the last year!

Rosalie, I'm glad we have him. He'll get plenty of action whether or not he starts. I want to see him guard Lonzo. Hawk

Me too, we gave away too much defense with Bradley and Crowder. I am hoping he is quicker and Rozier picks up some of the slack. This should make him quicker, faster to the play. I am glad he has done this for himself.

Jaylen Brown will step up on defense, he'll be a good match up with Ball.

I agree with this. Brown played well last year when Bradley missed some time. I think he's ready to start, and, at 6'7", will be longer than anyone other teams have seen from us.

Re: Marcus Smart “I’ve lost 20 pounds”
As much as I liked the grit, talents and determination that both IT and Crowder brought to the team for the last two plus seasons, I thought that Smart outshined both of these guys last season in leadership and look forward to him leading the way again this year.
He may not yet (or maybe not ever) be the best and most talented player on the roster, but he clearly is a bonafide, A+ leader in so many ways. I have no doubt that he and Horford will set the pace this year to get so many new guys functioning like the Cs teams that we have grown to love since Stevens arrived from college ball.
To me, he is completely untradeable even if he never shoots a better three point percentage.
By the way, losing 20 pounds is going to make him much quicker in everything that he does and will also help in being able to play faster for longer periods of time.

I know one thing, I would rather have him with us than against us!! he is one tough guy. I have never seen anyone steal the ball right out of a player's hands the way he does. Crowder was a tough player and we will miss him alot. But, keeping Marcus was a good move on Danny's part. And, remember, he is in his last year of his rookie contract, so he will be really hungry.
