Re: Is everyone okay???
We are good, windy and wet, but we've had worse here in the 2 years we have lived here just south of Atlanta (20 miles southwest of the airport). Around noon a huge pine tree that was dead fell over into our yard from the neighbors yard and missed the house by 25 ft or so, there are 6 more trees like that outside our yard that are potential threats, lights flickered a few times but that's it.
We are as prepared as we can be, ready to flee if we had had to, but also fully prepped to go long term without power, water or being able to renew food supplies. Prolly could have picked up a bit more beer, but otherwise we're set for now.
Hope everyone else is ok.. dboss hows things up in your neighborhood.

Re: Is everyone okay???
We got off pretty easy in Tampa.
Yesterday morning my girlfriend and I were volunteering at a shelter for elderly and special needs people. We were experiencing tornado warnings while awaiting a category 4 hurricane. We were expecting destruction throughout Tampa and no electricity for weeks.
Fast forward 24 hours to this morning and we were back at my apartment while the electric and air conditioning was on.
My office has no electric, but overall we are very fortunate the storm took an inland path to Tampa.
Thank you all for your concern for those of us who live in the path of Irma.

Thank God for that. Worcester was holed up at his office in Sarazota.
I wonder how Pete made out? He was worried.

Re: Is everyone okay???
This is a text I received from Worcester. "Rick" is a friend of his. I stayed in an unoccupied part of Rick's place when I was in Sarasota, so that was a specific note for me:
Bob, let the Forum know that we survived ok in Sarasota. No damage to my home nor Rick's nor my office, but no power at all. However 40% of Srq has power. I am signing off to save the charge on my phone.

Rosalie
Everything has calmed down. A few limbs are down but nothing major. The storm has passed.
Tomorrow I'll spend the day in the yards cleaning up.
Thanks for your concern. Has anyone heard from TJ
