Coach-less clubs turn to Tom Thibodeau
If it’s May, then it’s time for Tom Thibodeau to once again start interviewing for head coaching jobs.
General manager Danny Ainge confirmed yesterday that the Celtics [team stats] associate coach, considered one of the NBA’s premier defensive strategists, has drawn feelers from the Los Angeles Clippers and New Orleans Hornets regarding their head coaching vacancies. Both the Clippers and Hornets have asked Ainge for permission to interview Thibodeau, though no meetings have been scheduled.
The Philadelphia Daily News also reported that Thibodeau, who interviewed last year for positions with the Sixers and Sacramento Kings, is once again on Philadelphia’s list.
“He’s a very good coach,” Ainge said. “Everyone with a job opening should take the time to talk about Tom. Philadelphia interviewed him last year and had a good experience.”

Re: Coach-less clubs turn to Tom Thibodeau
I really would hate for Thibodeau to leave... especially with rumors about Doc taking a sabbatical too. He's a well known defensive coach, and I think he deserves credit for some of the Celtics defensive schemes.
There are a lot of teams in need of a head coach though, I think he signs on with 1 of them this summer, regardless of how the C's do in the playoffs.
Philly, Clippers, Hornets, 76ers, & even the Chicago Bulls who just fired Del Negro.
