MY NOTE:  Looking very good.  Great profile view, so you can see the ball does NOT go over or behind his head.

#Celtics Marcus Morris said he's getting used to playing mostly power forward for first time: Starting at the 4 should be great.

MY NOTE:  Well, isn't he confident, assuming he's starting...?

Marcus Morris doesn't think many fours can guard him: "On the offensive side it's gonna be too easy."

MY NOTE:  But on the defensive side...?

#Celtics Marcus Morris said conditioning rounding into form, still wants to lose 7 pounds. Not sure about playing tomorrow.

Marcus Morris went through half of practice today. Probably won't play tomorrow against the 76ers.

MY NOTE:  Opportunity for Theis and Yabby to get the minutes that Morris can't play now because of his poor conditioning.

Any team can always use an instigator like Marcus Smart, he looks ready for a breakout year.

So now Hayward might play some 4.

With so many interchangeable parts we may have 8 guys who can play pf.

Celtics will be a difficult team to prepare for.

More film of practice.

I need to see more, but I am loving Smart's new shot.  Last year we heard him say he fixed his shot, but he didn't, he still pulled the ball WAY too far back.  This year it actually looks fixed.  Check out how many shots he hits in this video and how smooth he looks.  Notice the ball doesn't go back over his head in any of his shots, so it's consistently his shot.

If he can become a reliable, dangerous shooter that could change everything because he plays 30mpg. It also means other coaches have to re-scout us because they can't assume we'll be playing 4-on-5 on offense when he's in the game.

Bob

I am fascinated by the new Marcus Smart.

He could be 1st team all defense this year and a consistent double digit scorer as well.

The transformation is stunning.  The anticipated improvement from last year did not occur because his mechanics did not change much.  His shot was disconnected but now it appears to flow with precision.

I am surprised that the experts have not noticed what is going on here.
