Re: Article - How Boston can Rebound
Bob,
Good article. I think there are some measures that should be among those taken.
It doesn't seem sensible to me that Ray has to work so hard to free himself for perimeter attempts. He practically runs a marathon on those curls; and there's often another screen and mini-marathon required at the end of them to get him free. And, even then, it's usually for only a split second. Ray's a quick shooter, but he is more consistent when he has at least a second to square up. So I'm hoping the Celtics will mix in more of the inside-out game, with both Rondo (after penetrating) and KG both dishing out to Ray.
I also believe it's imperative for Rondo to push the ball on virtually every possession, even after made baskets.
Finally, I'd like to see a big jumping out at the Cavs' high picks to double Lebron briefly, then quickly recovering. I think that tactic interrupts the Cavs' offensive flow, encourages Lebron to get rid of the ball, gives his defensive man time to deal with the pick, and takes seconds off their possessions. It's the closest to a double team I think the Celtics can realistically afford without messing up the Celtics' defensive rotations so that the Cavs get lots of open looks in the corners.
Go Celtics!

I say fuckabuncha double teaming. PP needs to get in his jersey. And he can do that. Make him shoot jumpers. If he makes em your in trouble but I dont think he will if the d is there. He's still shaky with his jumper and it looks funny.
Across the board we got to fight. The Cavs have head troubles and lack that last inch of steel. Exploit it.

We need to rebound #1,get in our offense faster, can't be anymore 14 seconds before first pass,Pierce needs drive and get to the line or dump it off for easy looks and more contact.....we need Ray and Pierce on.
