Jaylen Brown confirms the rim was broken

This is outrageous. I'm not providing the link because it's Forsberg at ESPN with a blurb.

Forsberg wrote:Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown said he believes one of the rims during Boston's game vs the 76ers in London was slightly off, echoing what JJ Redick suggested after the game. Brown said he told Boston coaches before the game but joked they did not listen to him. Brown said it was irrelevant because both teams spent equal time on that hoop.

That is so wrong. Brown says it doesn't matter because they switch sides. That game now makes a lot more sense. Something like that should never happen and makes the league look second rate.

I won't be offended if that happens. Next time I'll do something like that.

I had set out to write a bit. I was going to complain about refs and the league in general but then realized I didn't have the time.

I just want some pure basketball. That's all I've ever wanted. No star calls. No showtime hype. And definitely not damaged rims.

The league should have also picked a better team than Philadelphia for such a showcase. I guess at the time Philly seemed to have much more potential, but to fly all the way to Europe, why not pick two top teams?
