Boston Celtics' Guerschon Yabusele likely to see increased minutes
By Greg Cassoli | 10 minutes ago
Boston Celtics’ head coach Brad Stevens is ready to deploy the Dancing Bear more often in the coming weeks.
With the Boston Celtics continuing to struggle with injuries, Brad Stevens indicated today that fan favorite Guerschon Yabusele may be in line for increased minutes.
“The more you do the math on teams you might play and what we might need from a skill and defensive standpoint, he could play a big role for us moving forward,” Stevens said of Yabusele, per the Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach. “So he’ll play more in the next 10 games.”

Lost amid the Kyrie news was this unlock-the-Yabu update from Stevens: "The more you do the math on teams you might play and what we might need from a skill and defensive standpoint, he could play a big role for us moving forward. So he'll play more in the next 10 games."

The man lovingly referred to as the Dancing Bear, while decidedly raw, brings a level of athleticism and shooting that many of Boston’s remaining frontcourt options simply cannot offer.
Yabusele played well in his first career start against the Washington Wizards, ending the night with 4 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 exceptionally impressive steal.
He’s only played a grand total of six minutes in the Celtics’ two games since that point, but it would appear that Boston is ready to turn to him again. The team’s supporters will be thrilled.
Yabusele has been embraced by Celtics’ fans for is high-energy style of play, infectious smile and signature bow and arrow dab three-point celebration. He’ll have a chance to show them all off in the coming weeks.
