Just proves one thing. ESPN will give no credit to any Boston, New England teams. They are a joke.
As far as I am concerned, Mitchell is ROY

Hi,
Whatever ESPN says, thinks, shows about rookie and pseudo-rookie as long as JT brings us #18 next year and beyond...

There article talks about rookies who have been influential in driving their teams into rhe second round.
Mitchell has been great.
I wonder what Tatum would average if he were putting up over 23 shots per game like Mitchell does?

the kid has taken the edge off losing Hayward, for sure. Who knows what kind of time he would have gotten or the shots he would never have been able to take if Gordon was still there.
They may have been mad in August, but by now they are saying "Gordon who"?

Yes, Mitchell is putting up 23 shots per game and is shooting .455 in the playoffs. Tatum, even with his tremendous game against Philly, is shooting .417 so far. I love Tatum but Mitchell has been phenomenal this season and has even stepped it up in the plaoffs. His 38 point game in the series clincher over OKC was incredible for a rookie.

True but Tatum does not even get a mentioned. His game 7 performance against the Bucks was significant.steve3344 wrote:dboss wrote:There article talks about rookies who have been influential in driving their teams into rhe second round.

He takes over 7 three point attempts per game at a efficiency rate of 32%.
I am not trying to impugn his contribution. He has been the main guy for Utah. But the author is wrong to ignore what Tatum has accomplished.

Re: ESPN Forgets Jason Tatum
Here's the breakdown
Sinnoms: Not a Rookie
Mitchell: Definitely a rookie and gets my vote
Tatum: "Not a rookie" "Rooks don't play like that" "He is too poised: "He is too good" "You don't really think he is only 20, do you?" "Even the POTUS wants to see his birth certificate" "Only Celtics whose first name ends in Y can be ROY"
Here a chip, there a chip, everywhere a shoulder chip
