Congratulations
It's cut off but it's All Defensive Second Team.

Al Horford named to NBA's all defensive second team. Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown each got 5 first team votes, but finished out of running.

Robert Covington made first team all-defense and I’m not sure he was one of the five best defenders in the Celtics-76ers second round series.

Re: Congratulations
Who cares about Covington? He is playing golf or something while Horford leads his team in the eastern finals.
Not only this award, but awards in general don't do much for me.

Re: Congratulations
This is a flawed system if Covington and Holiday make all defensive first team over Jaylen Brown and Smart....ridiculous

Re: Congratulations
Many on the list were on playoff teams, so that helps support their inclusion a bit. Only Green and Horford are still playing, so that certainly supports their inclusion in the list.
Perhaps Brown and Smart's play in the post season will give the people who vote on lists like this a better exposure to their skillsets.
Over time, I've come to believe that these end of season lists are mostly just popularity contests whose relevance is up there with the high school's "Most likely to succeed" award.

Re: Congratulations
FACT we have the best defense in the league and the best perimeter defense in the league, so how do we not get one guard or wing on even the 2nd all defensive team...???

Re: Congratulations
Covington’s defense is better than Brown or Tatum, really didn’t see that in our recent series with them...???
