Summer League and Hassan Martin

Any thoughts here on Hassan Martin? I like what’s hes been able to do thus far in Summer League.

Rumor has it Boston may give him a 2-way deal. I like his toughness

I don't think we need another 6'7 big. He's a nice player for a team that does.

Martin's size against the biggest centers and lack of perimeter offense really hurts him. Playing next to a taller big who can shoot could make him effective in the NBA especially since he does have the quickness to switch onto wings on the perimeter. Jarrod Uthoff seems closer. He has the height and length as well as perimeter offense and defense to be successful. He does get pushed around inside on D and on the boards. His ability to contest shots does help mitigate some perceived quickness or size issues.

He is a tweener. Some tweeners know how to use their leverage over taller players.

He has a 7 ft 2 wingspan. He is a very physical player.

Let's not get it twisted. We are talking about a 2-way deal

Maybe OK on a 2-way as insurance. Couldn't hurt.
