Kyrie plans on staying put..
Just saw this, so one less thing to ponder for the next ten months.

It's not done till it's done but he's been explicit that his plan is to stay here. And if plans change, Rozier/Smart is a solid backup plan.

Not surprising. I didn't think he was leaving anyway.

Is this "never say die" or the perpetuation of journalistic fraud? I guess, when you're drowning, you'll grab at anything, even a floating turd from The Daily News.
"So what if Kyrie Irving tells Celtic fans he's planning on re-signing? We've seen this script before, Knicks fans ".

LOL. Knicks are such a sad organization. Its unfortunate really, a good health rivalry between cities is good for both.

I am currently in a small seacoast town in Namibia called Walvis Baai (pronounced "Valvish Bay" in Afrikaans). Very cute little town. The guesthouse I am staying in is adorable. Built in 1932, it is impeccably maintained and has old-school charm. I went quad-driving in the Namib Desert this morning, up and down big sand dunes, came back to get my haircut at a place on the waterfront. How many places have deserts right on the ocean? Namibia is great. Very nice people.

Re: Kyrie plans on staying put..
Maybe this is why. He obviously has a good relationship with Jayson Tatum AND I'm very happy to see Jayson not taking any shit from Kyrie even if it is all in good fun. Stand up, young man, and trade fire.
Chris Forsberg
Chris Forsberg @ChrisForsberg_
yesterday
Jayson Tatum ribbing Kyrie Irving about only playing 11 games at Duke. Kyrie fires back that he was No. 1 pick. Tatum deadpans: “It’s Danny’s fault I didn’t go No. 1.”

Shamrock,
I don't know this Flamingo Colony you are referring to. Are you referring to the annual flamingo migration to Lake Natron in Kenya? I was there in July, but not for the migration. Still, there were so many flamingos that part of the lake was pink, they were so dense. During the mating migration almost the entire lake is pink.
Just arrived in Cape Town yesterday evening.

Kyrie Irving says he’s looking forward to developing chemistry with Gordon Hayward “not just this year, but a few years down the line.”

MY NOTE: Not that this will stop the NY metro media from continuing to propose nonsense trades that have them getting Kyrie for a bunch of spare Knick parts (see Rondo, Rajon). While I am not comfortable counting chickens before they hatch there seems to be a satisfying consistency in words coming out of Kyrie's mouth, even during losing streaks. The big question for me now is "how much will Kyrie's contract demands impact Danny's ability to add more high-quality talent around him?"

Re: Kyrie plans on staying put..
Every time Kyrie makes a statement like that I feel the need to finish his sentence with "...as long as I get paid."
In no way am I counting on this happening until Uncle actually, physically, signs a contract. In black or blue ink. And we all get to see the signature.
To be sure, there will be others willing to pay ridiculous amounts to Drew. He is among the best in the game. Boston does have to think about making bank for several up-and-coming young players, and an acquisition or two yet to come. If the flat-earth's biggest supporter at least takes something slightly short of the national debt, or works out a concession in order to allow the team to stay strong, it will be nice indeed.
In the meantime, I'd hang onto Rozier as the best provider of insurance this side of Aaron Rodgers' State Farm agent.

Re: Kyrie plans on staying put..
At 21mill Kyrie has been underpaid for a while and I think Boston can offer him the most money but I am not positive about that.
It is not easy to acquire top end talent. Sometimes you can draft one but a seasoned star commands big money.
