Before we get too bent out of shape any assumption that Kyrie is referring to Carmelo is very speculative.

And even if it is true Does anyone think that Danny would add Melo to the mix? Talk about chemistry issues, add melo and any concerns we have today about chemistry would turn into a full blown disaster.

Irving never mentioned Melo.

The Rockets are not saying he's being let go.

Irving said we need a veteran. We have Al, Baynes (who has as many rings as Kyrie), Morris, Hayward.

Irving is frustrated by the recent bad road trip and is venting. Good. Losing is supposed to hurt.

Having said all this, "just say no, Danny, just say no" UNLESS he has a deal on the table that moves Morris. Then, having a scorer off the bench would be good. I am NOT a fan of Melo, never have been, but if he's ok with being a rotation player in the Morris-mode, then I could hold my nose for a season if Morris is gone in a trade.

Morris may very well gone be next year but he is having a splendid year so far.

I do not see melo as being a viable replacement for anybody on this team.

Morris has finally found his groove.  

Danny could have gotten melo if he wanted him.  Do you think he woke up this morning after watching his team go 1-4 on the road trip and thought, we want melo?

I don;t even like the idea of Melo's name being MENTIONED in the same sentence as the Celtics...man!!

There was a reason Danny did not pull the trigger on Melo two years ago. He just does not fit.

Kyrie was totally frustrated last night, and I cannot blame him. I wish there was an easy solution. Work, Work, Work, that is what they need. Stop reading the paper, listening to sports shows, it is time to leave it all out on the floor. I know that Hayward is having a tough time getting his offense in gear, but he has been distributing the ball extremely well, he sees the floor so efficiently. He has been rebounding well also. But, I would not be surprised to see him on the bench next game. Even for a try. I love the guy, am rooting and have been rooting for him since he signed. But logically, this mat be the best move. Let him get his shot back, he has missed some wide open shots, the rust is there.

Lastly, I refuse to lose faith in this team. They are the whipping boys for talk radio and ESPM and TNT, time to shut them up. Brad has got to respond quicker to runs, not let it get so out of hand before he tries to stop them. He is a great coach, he is entitled to his mistakes too. But I have faith that this willl turn around, we will all see

No, I would not want Morris gone for Melo. As I said I am not a fan of Melo's. What I said, or was trying to say, is that IF Morris was traded (packaged with Rozier? Both are expired contracts) then Melo would make sense. Otherwise, no.

Then what? Two open spots on the bench after they cut Melo because he certainly does not fit here. Where would the offense go that these two guys give us.

I have been racking my brain for a day now, trying to figure out who might be available (of quality and a good shooter) for the Celtics to try to get. No one wants to help us Now.

My other thinking is: WHAT IS GOING THRU HAYWARDS MIND RIGHT NOW, I GAVE UP WHAT??? FOR A BROKEN LEG??? AND THEY WANT TO HANG ME ALREADY????

I would rather the Cs continue as a .500 team than sign Carmelo Anthony.

Simply just no room or spot for Anthony in Boston.

I think Gordon will be just fine however maybe the Celtics are doing him a disservice by starting him right away.  You can still see his diverse game.  Right now it is really about him finding a groove.  He is a quality shooter at all three levels during his career.

He is only taking 9 shots a game so there is little to no volume from him.  I think he should keep shooting.  Let it fly!

He has more pressure on him than anybody on the team.  As long as his teammates and coach support him and encourage him he will come out of this adjustment period fine.    He may move to the bench or he may stay in the starting lineup.  he still will have to find his place on this team.  Still pretty early to become overly concerned.    I think we are just real impatient fans based on our expectations going into the season.  Those expectations have been tempered as  reality sets in.  But I have seen nothing that tells me that the Celtics do not have enough talent to be a top contender this year.  

We have seen plenty of really good basketball already but not for 4 quarters.  They will move the ball extremely well over several possessions and then slow it down to a snails pace and divert to ISO basketball.  On defense not a lot of help rotations.  If a guy is getting beat he is getting beat.  At times they seem unsure of their assignments.  but then other times they are very focused on defense.

In many respects it is not how this guy or that guy is playing.  Guys are going to hit slumps.  It is more about how the team is performing.  Therefore even when we point out individual players for their production or lack thereof, what matters most is how the team is playing.

I still think the team will be just fine.

Let's face it. From what I have seen so far via League Pass, the league this year is very talented. The difference between winning and losing as always is a very, very fine line this year more than ones in the past that I've seen. As we are learning, we aren't getting a free pass to the Finals this year by any stretch. That's the target on our backs.

The top teams vs. each other are going to showcase great professional basketball at its best all season long. And even a PHX will give you a run for your money from the middle and bottom of the league.

I don't think Boston came out of the gate without a sense of reality. These are their peers. And again, the line between winning and losing is very small adjustments. They have to get their line up and starting five set. That's all. IN the meantime, it is hard to watch them go down by 20-30 points out of the gate against this level of competition and hope the rest of the game they make it up knowing the levels of talent this team has. Brad has skillfully made it this far. This is simply a new challenge for him. One he hasn't seen before. He will get us to the Promised Land. He's figured it out before. There might be some small adjustments along the way, but he and Danny will get us there.
