His right ankle when he came down after attempting a chase-down block.  You can see what his ankle looks like when he's down and raises his leg initially.  Hard to watch.  Once, with Hayward, is plenty.

Sad this kid was a future all-star, hope he can get it back.

I will not watch it. I do not have the stomach for it.

I wish the young man well. He will have a long and difficult road ahead.

Has this happened in the past?  
If not, what is the leading contributing factor in both cases?  
Can this be attributed to modern shoes and we may be seeing more of this?
