So, it's 5-4 Lakers? That's about right given their regular season performance. They did do better than us during the regular season.
During the playoffs? I don't think so.
We have been a green buzz saw that beat decisively two very good teams.
The Lakers have been somewhat fortunate in their matches. OKC was good, surprisingly so, but they weren't ready mentally to take on the Lakers this year. Also, other than Durant, their frontcourt couldn't match up with the Lakers and even then Artest made life hard for him. Their point guard, Westbrook, was hell for the Lakers and that's where we shine too. Beating an undermanned Jerry Sloan team, playing without their starting center and SF, was a lucky break for the Lakers too. Nothing wrong with luck, of course, but it doesn't really prep you for a defensive team like the Celtics. Phoenix can't spell defense and their frontcourt couldn't match up physically with them either. Robin Lopez as your starting center? NFW. The Lakers offense has looked pretty good, but playing against "the promise of defense" will do that for your offense.
