BOSTON -- When Gerald Green played for the Boston Celtics, he tried hard to keep one secret from his teammates: The talented stylist who turned his braids into a shamrock on Opening Night prior to the 2016-17 season.

But word got around the team, so we can probably safely share it here as well: Her name is Joselyne Ortega (Instagram handle: @ByJawz). She worked with Kyrie Irving on his fro prior to the season (Irving said her work is great as he left the locker room after Monday’s win over the Nets). She has helped players' managers and family members.

But perhaps none of her clients have been as noticeable as Marcus Smart, who arrived at Monday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets with the same shamrock design Green had on Opening Night two years ago, also courtesy of Ortega.

I saw Gerald Green's shamrock braid in person early that year when the Celtics visited Charlotte. We had seats right behind the Celtics' bench.

I looked back at some of the pictures I took. You could see something was going on with Gerald's hair, but I didn't get anything close up.
