Re: Tacko Fall Contract
Speaking of hand size, does anyone know his? I can't find it.

Part of why guards shoot better is probably because of more competition, simply more people in that height range. If you can't shoot as a guard there will be others who can. Taller guys have less competition so will also make it despite having less complete skill sets. Can't teach height and only so many tall people available.

He moves his feet well and runs the court a lot better than I thought he could. Hope we keep him and let him develop.

Maybe he should try the Rick Barry method.

Re: Tacko Fall Contract
I have liked what I have seen of this guy in the summer league.
Although he is not yet a finished product if you watch some video of him even last winter in college he is very much improved already. Such rapid improvement would indicate that he will be even better by the start of training camp in late September.
Since he has two and a half months till camp begins, I would expect him to be stronger (all over) by then which will increase his ability to hold his ground and even move better laterally and see him improve his post game moves (he already has a pretty smooth little hook shot) and free throws.
I have read that the Cs are not yet planning to keep this kid, but almost how can they not keep him? He is huge and the Cs have been searching for centers seemingly forever, Language is not an issue as he speaks several languages fluently, has looked very good so far, runs and moves better than anyone originally expected, he does not look totally lost on offense or defense, wants to score, has improved since his college season ended so he appears to be ready and willing to work on his game, is on only a one year contract, is cheaper than cheap and is likely to ***make another large improvement between now and the season.
Even without another huge improvement jumps in physical and/or basketball skills, I have to believe that he could play at least 8 minutes per game if the season started tomorrow night.
If nothing else, the Cs know that there will be other teams willing to sign him immediately if they let him go. He may or may not be the gem that every team looks for, but he is worth keeping for at least one season to give him the opportunity to become that gem. Cripes, Yabusele got three summers and two full seasons to show what he could/couldn't do at a much, much higher financial cost.

He brings something completely different to the table with that body and he is not a complete stiff. I do not see why you would not take a chance on him considering Yabusele got 2 seasons plus of garbage time. Only caveat is the other rookies are playing great too.

If you take a chance on a minimum contract guy, why not take the fall on this kid?
He Can Play!
