Post Game Celtics 109-98 over Magic
The Celtics came back from a 16 point deficit to win their 30 game of the year. This was a great win as Kemba lit it up for 37 and GH, the guy some dumbass wants to trade had 22 points and 14 rebounds. He also chipped in with 5 dimes. Theis played fantastic with 16 points and 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
Grant Williams made big plays at both ends and Green gave us a rare 28 minute contribution.
Marcus was Marcus. What a great competitor.
This win keeps the Celtics in the running for 2nd place in the East which would secure Brad to coach the East squad in the allstar game.

Great game beating a bigger more athletic team with hustling defense getting stops at the right times and converting it to offense. Major contributions from everyone, GH, Kemba and Theis all carrying us, great effort and grit....

What an unbelievable difference between the game tonight and the Orlando debacle a year ago!
Thank the heavens diarrhea breath is spewing his nonsense for the Nets!

Green seems to be carving out a role for himself.
Good to see the bench guys getting opportunities and delivering.

I think we can say with somewhat certainty that this team has now put the past behind them. They have recognized the following facts:
(1) We're almost always going to be short a starter or two in this case
(2) RWill is not coming back anytime soon
(3) Time to win consistently and systematically demolish our competition like we are capable of doing night in and night out regardless of the circumstances be it short on players due to injury, no bench, no center, on the road better team with a center, back-to-back, back-to-back 2nd game on the road against LAL or MIL or LAC, blah, blah, blah.
Excuseville has been officially retired. They are done with it.

It was good to see Theis play well in extended minutes. Poirier had his first real minutes of the season, wasn’t too productive but we didn’t collapse while he was out there.

I have read a lot of blogs not here but elsewhere where fans are wanting to see GH moved.
Pros and cons about needs and moving players is perfectly acceptable. I have read many and I do not agree that GH should be moved.
If KAT was coming back any of our top guys could be in the mix but all we hear is getting someone far less.
I do believe strongly that the few blimps we have seen is caused by the frequency and serverity of injuries.

Got back Thursday and started a 3-day music festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Busy for me, a bit unusual to be sure, but I'm missing games as a result.
I'm reading that Javonte Green did an outstanding defensive job on Terrence Ross. True? I see that Ross was 3-14, 2-11 from 3. Was that attributable to Green? If so, that's another diamond in the rough Danny has found. Anybody who can make Ross look human is welcome on this team.
Hayward with a 22/15/5 game. Wow.
I agree with DBrown, Excuseville is in our rear view mirror. Orlando isn't a great team, maybe not even a good team, but we came back from 16, on the road against the team that if we can make up our 1/2 game deficit to Miami would be our 1st round opponent in the playoffs.

Fultz will have an NBA career, not as a star, but he'll stick as a role player. Good for him. Sure glad he is not a Celtic.
RWill is not walking thriough that door anytime soon.
GWill has really been stepping up. I retract my earlier criticisms. Since going 0-25 from 3 he has connected on 14 of 32 3 pointers, a .437 clip! Plus he is playing decent D.
Javonte is a playah!
Gordon is a really fine, smart player. We are lucky to have him on this squad. When he needs to step up lately, he does, in many ways.
Kemba is such an improvement over Kyrie. It is silly to waste time comparing them.
Theis is a huge plus for this team, especially considering his salary. Way to go Danny.
Marcus has become an elite passer. In addition to his superb D, his stat line is solid: .350 from 3, .838 FT, 12.3 ppg, 4.8 assissts versus 1.3 TOV. What an asset.

I could not have been more happy to watch the bench perform the way they did. As BobH Pointed out, Ross was held in check by none other than Javonte Green. A wonderful showing for this guy. He is so athletic. Ross is a Celtic killer, he foams at the mouth when he is playing us usually. Remember the game when he was with Toronto and he hit shot after shot after shot. Not last night.
Daniel Theis deserves a huge pat on the back, he was a monster in the fourth quarter, but played well whenever he was on the floor.
I know the elephant in the room is always Gordon, but I am so against giving up on him and trading him, he was a floor general out there last night. I believe the best is yet to come. SOMEONE may want him gone, but they will regret it if they pulled the trigger. It just is not going to happen I believe. 22/14/5, great numbers on a night when we needed it.
I know that it is said that Orlando is not a good team, but according to Mike Gorman last night, they are the #1 rated defense in the East right now. Did he make a mistake? If not, than we did an even better job out there. Our defense was phenomenal when it counted.

Rosalie. Orlando gives up 104.4 PPG which is less than any other team.RosalieTCeltics wrote:I could not have been more happy to watch the bench perform the way they did. It is not an easy task to have 3 wings who can all score. GH is in my opinion, a pass first guy. He is still more than capable of putting up 20+ PPG but as I have mentioned before, he only takes 12.9 shots per game. He leads our wings in assists per game and is our most efficient scorer among them. If he misses a shot or two fans lose their freakin minds.
The numbers speak for themselves. 16.3 PPG, 6.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 50.7% from the field. He is playing at an all-star level. Yes I believe he should be getting more shots. Him and Jaylen came off the bench last year but this year they are starters again and the difference is quite revealing. No one has been through more adversity than GH. He deserves our support.

D I am very impressed with your willingness to give GH a fair shake this year. While some others out here are always on the negative, I told you so train - you are posting really great insights on a daily basis.
