Ugh. I feel sick. Kobe was a Laker, and I didn't love aspects of his game, but he was a warrior for sure on the court and had evolved into an interesting human off the court, with a lot left to say. Prayers for his wife and kids.

this makes me sick, I was not a Kobe fan, but he is a young man with so much to give, a beautiful family. This is a huge tragedy. My heart is beating so fast right now. Sad, sad, God bless him and God bless his family. Prayers for all.

Reported his 13 year old daughter was also killed.

Wow... no mention of that on ESPN interview with Christine Brennan. I wonder if it is true

Celtics Blog said it is true, Kobe and his 13 year old daughter were killed. She was a budding basketball player. Ugh......this gets worse and worse

Not really into social media myself, but the following article from the LA times has a bunch of tweets mourning the loss of Kobe:

There was another young girl and a parent killed.

Do not know who they were but let the prayers from this forum go out to them as well.

Assume the pilot was the 5th person killed.  Prayers to him and his family as well.

At times like this we are reminded about the fragility of human existence.

This is AWFUL.

He was due to be inducted into the HOF later this year too. Can it get any worse? I'm not sure how it could.

I read that Bob. A very cool gesture. My son and wife will be at the game in New Orleans game tonight and I’m sure they will do something as well. There is a video clip of Doc Rivers and he pretty much sums up how they all feel.

Not a Kobe fan, but he was one of the all time greats. Really sad to hear his daughter was also on the helicopter. RIP Mamba.
