BONUS Comments From The Other Side - PHILLY vs MILWAUKEE 2/5/20 BOTH SIDES!!

MY NOTE:  Just because I am shamelessly enjoying my schadenfreude over the implosion of the "highly touted" Sixers.  In 3 parts:  First part are comments from the Philly board, 1st half; Second part are comments from the Philly board 2nd half;  Third part are comments from the Bucks board, entire game.  ENJOY!!!   All of these are my favorites, that's why I've cut-and-pasted them.  Which are yours?

I hate betting against my teams, but I really like easy money.


Every offensive possession feels like it’s out of rhythm. All the extra passing philosophy being implemented doesnt translate to good offense for this team


There were plenty of good shots – we just didn’t make them. Make or miss league!

We don’t pass with any particular purpose. We move the ball for the sake of ball movement, not to get any particular player open for any particular shot.

What a disappointing era in Sixers history.

Because 02-’14 were so rosy.

When Jo goes bad, the wheels really fall off for him

We are so PG deprived we make Shake Milton look like a real player.




SECOND HALF - SIXER GAME ON! BOARD

To me Embiid is way more coachable then Simmons. Ok. You put Embiid out to space because coach wants him there. Do we ever see the coach signal Embiid to get down low and post and run block to block. It’s the system Embiid plays in. If I am coaching Embiid I tell him to stay down low, i would believe he would.. If i told Simmons to shoot, i believe he wouldn’t, that’s the difference.

spot on .... how in the flip can you have a guard who can't shoot but expect Embiid to compensate for that constantly

it totally buggers the whole system and I love Simmons but we got call a spade a spade –
nevermind the coaching is not good enough to compensate for our shortcomings

Seriously you would think we were down 20 with some of the whiny comments on this board - the players are a showing more heart than y'all.

Brett starts the third quarter with Embiid/Simmons/Horford, they can’t score, and the deficit balloons to double digits. Does he not learn anything? Stop doing the same thing over and over when it’s not working

Unless brown is the one inhibiting Joel behind the scenes, this has nothing to do with Brett. Our best player is embarrassing himself.

Brett calls the plays. Embiid is just doing as told.

Is Brett telling Joel to trip over his own feet and walk with his head down the floor?

This is good for us, guys. This will open our eyes. I can feel the delusion slipping away

Horford out here Just hoisting shots like he’s Reggie Miller in his driveway. Just tossin em out there

Tells you how great the other three point shooters are on his team if he’s to go to Guy.

Giannis is literally just Ben with a willing jumper.

No way. Giannis is an animal. His fire is 100 times more intense then Ben.

Ben does have a softer foul shot than Giannis. Lol

Don’t worry we got 2 gleaguers coming from the gleague Warriors team this year. They got a lot of heart. Not much skill. But they have heart. That’s all you need to win is heart.

That’s how bad they have been on the road. There are LOTTERY teams with better road records than the Sixers right now. Those lottery teams definitely play a lot harder on the road than the Sixers do

Idk I’d be happy to take some pity. Everyone needs a good cuddling from time to time.

The thing that our front office missed:

Size alone does not make a good defense. Athleticism and desire to play defense are needed as well. This is a soft team that will play hard at home but disappears on the road. Just too many finesse players who don’t play with any fire. They try to get by on talent alone.

It’s weird that he can miss so badly, so often

Our offense can’t do anything against this Philly defense
Hope we don’t have to face them in the postseason

Never forget that Philly ‘never fouls,’ and Al Horford ‘never ever fouls.’ Playing the sixers is too play the refs and it’s been that way the last 3 years.

Ben Simmons is such a non-factor in big games - good teams know how to take him completely out of the game
dude is so incredibly overrated

Ah I don't know  His handles and passing are pretty damn good. That said, he can’t shoot so yeah pretty easy to negate him

How close do we think is Brown to getting fired? It won’t make sense but I don’t like their body language in there.


I think unless they make noise this postseason, they may as well. A new guy might be able to motivate their stars to care more
