The Boston Celtics know how mentally grueling the next few months might be.

On Wednesday, the team departed Boston for Orlando, where they will quarantine and receive testing for the coronavirus before beginning real practices this week. Later this month, they will scrimmage. After that, they will start playing seeding games to prepare for the strangest postseason in NBA history.

All the while, a lot of players will be missing home.

Once they settle in, start playing ball, and get ready for games they will all change their mind set. Right now, remember, they have been secluded with their families for as long as you and I, and, some, with young families, have had a chance to do things they are not used to doing with the kids and it has been a unique experience for them. It is harder on the ones left behind, just relying on Zoom and Skype to communicate with their hubby/boyfriends/dad. It the end result is anywhere near where they hope it will be, it will all have been worth it. There is still the chance that this will blow up in the face of the NBA and, after all this planning, that would be a shame. I hope they adhere to rules set up to keep them safe

Exactly

Sort of ironic that we tend to hero worship some of these famous personalities - only to realize in later years, that often times the real super stars in life turn out to be your own relatives and friends.

Priorities swish, I never ever admired any star more than my Dad and my husband. This generation will learn the hard way that these stars, for the most part, couldn't care less
