Grant vs. Rob in the payoffs
Looking at the playoff stats, I cannot comprehend why Brad takes Rob's minutes and gives them to Grant.
Grant - 170 minutes, 47 points, 26 RB, 5 blocks, 4 TOV, 33 PF, 6 Assists, .577% fg, 2 steals
Rob- 149 minutes, 48 points, 51 RB, 6 blocks, 7 TOV, 18 PF, 10 AST, .742% fg, 3 steals
Grant defense - overall score for the playoffs: -6..8 points
PIE: 3.8

Rob defense - overall score for the playoffs - +5.4 points
PIE: 13.8

I hate to keep on beating this drum, but Brad has a good deal to learn.

Re: Grant vs. Rob in the payoffs
I thought same exact thing watching the games.
I even mentioned I don’t think it’s our year this year, that I wanted to see him grow during these playoffs so make sure he plays at least 25 minutes a game, let him play thru mistakes and get first hand experience of playoff basketball.

Playoffs:
Player...Mins....3ptfg%...rebs.....asts.....stls....TOs...OffRtg....DefRtg
Grant---170----57.7-----1.5-----.4------.1-----.2-----142------109
Rob-----149----0.0------3.9-----.8------.2------.5----137------105
Not a big difference between total minutes, nor a lot of minutes total. Seems like a lot of todo over not much.
However, Grant played in 17 playoff games while Rob only in 13. So, more mpg for Rob than for Grant. Also, better offense by the team when Grant was on the floor. Grant with a 2:1 assist-to-turnover ratio vs a 1.6:1 for Rob. Grant the obvious better floor spacer, Rob the obvious more effective pnr.

So do turnovers, especially against running teams like Toronto and Miami.

Re: Grant vs. Rob in the payoffs
I think it is hard to compare two players with different profiles particularly when one brings a skill set to the game and the other has so-called intangibles. What are intangibles?
impalpable, abstract, invisible, airy, ethereal, incorporeal, insubstantial, non-physical, untouchable, aerial, bodiless, dim, disembodied, immaterial, unembodied, vague, elusive, ghostly, indefinite, phantom, shadowy, spectral, spiritual, supernatural, transcendental, unbodied, unearthly, unreal, wraithlike, discarnate, disincarnate, evanescent, phantasmal, phantasmic, unsubstantial, abstruse, eluding, evading, evasive, hypothetical, imperceptible
Just maybe the best way to describe Grant Williams as a player is to say, he really is not a good player. All skilled players have intangibles but all so-called intangibles players do not have substantial skills.
