Best store in Boston for Celtics stuff
I am going on my annual trip to the US in mid august and I am going to be flying into/out of Logan airport. Most of the time is going to be spent in Washington DC but the last one or two nights I am planning on spending in Boston.
I am planning on going to the Red Sox game vs. the Mariners on the 23rd (tips on priceworthy seats?)
What is the best place to buy Celtics gear in downtownish Boston? will not have a car so walking/subway accessible locations will be a must.
Also, where does one find the best burger in downtown Boston?

The pro shop at North Station / TD Garden has a pretty extensive section of Boston Celtics gear. The Pro shop at Fenway also used to have some, but I would go to North Station. You can also see the new Red Auerbach plaque and touch the lucky shamrock.
As for burgers, my favorites are not in Boston - but can be reached by Subway to Harvard Square. Mr Bartley's is a Harvard institution, really good variety of burgers with strange and unique toppings. In Boston itself, any of the steak houses (Abe and Louis, Grill 32, Capital Grill) will have really good burgers.
If you want a really good sandwich, look up Chacarero - which is a Peruvian sandwich shop right downtown. It is a unique and really delicious sandwich - not one you will find anywhere else in the city, or maybe anywhere outside Lima. They may be closed on Sunday so check the hours.
For Red Sox tickets - you really only have two choices, scalpers on the street and Ace Tickets / Higgs Tickets. Both will be around double face value, so expect to pay $150+ per ticket for anything decent.
Have fun....sorry I am going to miss Saturday's events.

Thanks for the tips on burgers/sandwiches. Always fun to hear of those "little places".
Will probably head to the garden then since it will be a "celtics experience" in itself.
Supposedly there are tickets available for the mariners game when I looked via mlb.com so should not have to buy from scalpers.

Swede - you might find obstructed view seats (sitting behind a pole) on line....and you may get lucky and walk into the ticket office and grab a few the day of the game. But for the most part, any decent seats are sold out in a few hours many months before the season starts.
Have fun.

Swede,
I just looked at the following website, and they list loads of available tickets for that game. (I hope it's true.) Many are bleacher seats, going for as little as $20. I assume you'd like something better on this special occasion. Tickets in the right field corner are listed at $52, and other tickets graduate in value to a price of $72 for first base grandstand.

I haven't done business with this operation. I'm mentioning them solely because I found them by googling "Red Sox tickets." By the way, I assume you know that the Red Sox offer tours of Fenway Park every day...something like once an hour. Among other things, I believe you go out on the field and behind the infamous left field wall (where you'll see graffiti written by famous players). http://mlb.mlb.com/bos/ballpark/tour.jsp
Have a great time in Boston and wherever else you go.

Thanks Sam!
If nothing else one can always catch the game at a local bar with a SAM Adams
