I don't think the TV schedule is written is stone for at least some of the networks. Last year I think TNT had the fans vote for which game to carry on Tuesdays or something like that. Certainly though the C's will be on a lot on ALL of the networks.

PS Totally off topic but I thought this was neat. Marcus's local High School now has a Facebook page. South Jefferson Spartans and the photo they use for it is below................guess who the lefty is in the photo?

I don't think I have too much to worry about with that. He's allways been a bit on the non attention seeking side.

I do think I know how it got there though. Marcus's sister Sarah's ex boyfriends mom is still awfully fond of Sarah and they still talk a lot. She is in charge of ALL the tech stuff and computer stuff at the school and I am sure played a big part in running the schools facebook page (if not the whole part)

Who knows? Sarah starts at her third college (in three semesters) in a couple weeks. Heading a bit north this time (SUNY Potsdam) about 90 minutes from home. NO BOYFRIEND this year (doesn't want one) and her roomie is from the wilds of New Hampshire.

She and a close friend have spent the past couple days at Cedar Point in Ohio going on some Monster rides!! (a 420' high rollercoaster at 120 MPH in 4 seconds and such are well out of my league)

It's only 107 miles from Potsdam to Montreal. You know you're losing your little girl when she can come home for the weekend, but would rather go to Montreal instead (or Saratoga, for the trotters).

As a side note the last time I went on a ride we were at Water Safari in Old Forge NY. In the back part of the park they have some older style rides. Marcus (then 10 or so) wanted to go on one with me. I looked it over carfully. The ride was like a circle with small hills all the way around and a cut out cup semecircle seating with one point of contact that made it swing around as it went around aover and down the "little hills".

So after watching a bit and me deeming it within my ability we got in line.


WORST MISTAKE I COULD HAVE MADE.


All it took was the first hill and Marcus throwing his weight to propell that thing 250 MPH in a damn circle!! I yelled at him to just sit still so as not to cause it to spin any more than it needed to but to no avail..........little bastard!!

He was laughing his head off and the wife and Sarah were watching from the side (and laughing there heads off too)

After several hours the ride stopped. As I stumbled out of my seat I slowly made my way down the ramp to safety. My head was completely white as all my blood in my body was below my waist.

I knelt down (ala Pope whomever) and gently kissed the terra firma and pledged NEVER AGAIN!!

Beat, just a couple thingy's..

first Marcus team, the Spartans- our high scholl was also the Spartans, exact same logo as well, cept ours was red.

also, cedar point is like 2 hrs from my house, i love going still despite my old age (36), ironically Top Thrill is the only coaster i've yet to ride, as every time since its opening season when ive went the crowd was too long or it was being worked on.. sarah im sure had a blast there

i was gonna say somethign else thread related, but memories of The Point crowded out my memory of what the title of this thread was...

oh yeah, now i remember...

with so many reguler season games on t.v. i wonder if its worth it to get the nba packege which i consider every yr and then never do?

boston vs milwalkie 3 times on t.v this yr? somebody know something about milwalkie that i dont?

Beat, when I recall last going on a roller coaster more than 30 years ago, all I remember was looking at those little rails and being absolutely sure the coaster was going to jump them in a turn. My younger daughter (then about 10) and her friend were with me and were laughing at me. And all I could think of was her friend's mother was going to kill me for getting her daughter killed. Then they screamed and raised their hands, and I tried to be brave and be cool and do the same. But my hands had the safety bar in a death grip. I got the scream right, though. Then we slowed down, and I was trying to pry my hands free, and my daughter said the worst words I've ever heard her utter: "Let's go again."

sam, my first ride on a coaster was @ cedar point the season that the Magnum opened, it was at the time the worlds tallest coaster- and my first ride ever!

so going down that HUGE hill for the first time my freinds got a great laugh, i was excited, yet kinda concerned so i had one hand in the air yelling like a madman and the other clutching the handbar for dear life..

i guess it was sort of like ur situation, trying to be kewl while filled with dread. however it was me who first made the cry "lets do it again" which then prompted everyone reminding me of what i'd juyst been doing.

I also remeber taking little Sarah on the scambler at the local co fair many years ago. Just held my breath for 3 minutes or so (and of course closed my eyes) This was before my experience with Marcus.

And I never even considered the words "let's do it again."

as to the season pass it is a bit of a question if it is worth it BUT because it gives me more of Tommy on Mike regularly I'll probably go with it at least one more season.

the magnum ride was the first coaster in the world to top out at over 200 feet and on a clear day they say you can see Canada from up there.
