Just a little something to amuse ourselves with until camp begins.
March 20, 1980. Rookie Larry Bird with Dave Cowens, Cedric Maxwell, Tiny Archibald and Pistol Pete Maravich. Not a bad starting five, huh? And, yeah, that mustachioed fella on the left is Bob Ryan. 41 years will do that to you.

Wow, what a great clip!
Imagine if Cowens and Pistol were a few years younger? What a run that would have been!
Not that I’m complaining about Parish and McHale who came along soon after as that resulted in a fabulous run all through the 80s.
We are blessed as Celtics fans.
