MY NOTE:  It is being reported that Smart missed the team flight to Orlando.  This is a violation of Ime's rules, not a franchise or league rule.  Ime has said that Smart is "remorseful" and this should be the end of it.

Marcus Smart did not get specific about his violation of team rules but said it’s being handled internally. Udoka said the same and added the rule broken was a rule he implemented. The #Celtics players wanted more discipline. Well, Udoka is making that happen

Excellent!  Great move, Ime!!  Now if only BKN would just null and void a contract due to insubordination, this could turn into a trend!!  But again, Gordon, greed is good.  Glad Sean Marks did what he did this week, but the Titanic had already hit the iceberg.  

Celtics players wanted more discipline or accountability?  Or both?  Either way, if the Celtics go all the way this year, other coaches and franchises that really want to win a championship are going to start asking how Ime did it.  I can promise you the first words out of his mouth will be discipline and accountability and not giving a crapola about off the court issues.  But I digress.

P.S. I just noticed something. Our coach's first name is the complete opposite of his actions. I-Me. Now if you want to match names to their personality, there's a very good candidate...oh, never mind, you get my point!

The Celtics have yet to name their two team captains.

I think I would go with the Jays. Al Horford should also be considered along with Marcus, although his recent suspension takes him down a notch.

I think if you put Jayson and Jaylen in that role, it would be consistent with the fact that they are they are the two pillars on this team.

Per Ime Udoka - Dennis Schroder will start tonight and get some extra time tonight. His bruised knee no longer an issue. Pritchard had his nose reset and will be wearing a mask - expected to be available for practice before next Wednesday's opener in NY.

I’d be happy if Ime decides to not have any captain or captains. A case can be made for Horford, Smart, Jaylen and Jason.

It may or may not be a big deal among the players, but I wouldn’t want anything to occur that may cause resentment at not being named.

I think they will be just fine with no captain this year.
