Boston Sports Trivia
Two cities have seen their teams compete against one another in the World Series, Super Bowl, NBA Finals and Stanley Cup.
One of those cities is Boston.
Can you name the other?

Re: Boston Sports Trivia
What Red Sox player had a top 25 hit song on the WBZ hit Parade? Name the player and the song.
Also 3 Celtic players also recorded a song together. Name the players and the song. NO GOOGLING PLEASE!!!

Re: Boston Sports Trivia
St Louis it is. I thought the Hawks might be the tough one to get.
Singing Sox and Celts? No idea. New one on me, so I’ll honor the no Google request and wait for the answer.
Wild guess on the Celtic one is that it has something to do with either Walton or Sanders. Walton because he’s such a Dead Head or Sanders because he’s just that cool.

Best I can hope for is partial credit, if any.
Tony Conigliaro for the WBZ hit song?
Celtics I’m guessing KC Jones, with Satch and Sam?

Re: Boston Sports Trivia
Bang! (in my Johnny Most voice) Tony C is correct! #25 on the WBZ Hit Parade “When you take more than you give”.
KC Sam and Satche is correct also but to achieve A+ status I will need for you to provide me the name of that song.
P.S. It’s pretty easy and If you can’t get this right instead of the A+ you’ll be looking at Detention. :>)

Re: Boston Sports Trivia
Remember, these guys hardly made enough money to buy a house!! Anything went back then. Satch had a rib place for a while, Russell the same.
I can remember when some of these guys retired, the gifts they got were unreal. I believe Sam Jones got a home in North Carolina, Cowens got a Harley, Honda got a Jeep, Today, they make so much money from the time they sign it is unreal. Those that are broke? Shame on them.

Russell owned Slades restaurant on Tremont st. for years.
Satch owned a bar/restaurant in downtown Boston. It may be still there. It was in the 90’s.
