Next 4 games on tap
Our next 4 games are crucial.
We have Brooklyn at home tomorrow. If I recall, the last time Kyrie played in Boston and they won he belittle himself by doing the mash potatoes on Lucky at center court. The Celtics and their fans never did anything bad to him. He left on his own accord. Still he felt compelled to defile, symbolically, the team and fans.
You have to get all the way up for this game.
On Wednesday, we play in Charlotte. Those Hornets are holding on to the 10th spot like a bull dog on the porch with a porkchop in their mouth. Good thing we will have 2 days off to get ready.
Then on Friday we are back home against Detroit. Does it not seem like we play them once a week? Geez, just go away. Get lost, SCRAM!
Our 4th game will be home next Sunday against the great Luka Doncic. We lost to them in their gym by 3, 107-104 back in November. I think a little payback is in order.
After those 4 games we will head out West to begin a 4 game road trip. More on that in another week.

Biggest game today; UNC at Duke. Coach K’s final home game.
Average ticket cost is $5,300. I’ll watch from my sofa.
We could buy several really good TD court-side seats for that price!

Today will be the greatest day in UNC-CH college basketball history. The thorn in their side for over 40 years that potentially took at least 5 National Championships from their beloved (barf) school will be no more. Coach K is retiring.
There will never be a better rivalry. Ever. If you look at it from the Coach K era, Duke leads 50-46. Carolina leads the overall 141-115. But Duke REALLY sucked early on in the ACC except for the Vic Bubas era. They were a doormat for many years behind Wake Forest, NC State and Carolina all of my childhood.
Thanks for all the memories and great Duke teams, Coach K!

And the players will receive…Zero $ and Zero cents for their effort. Great rivalry though.

Ktron,
I get your point about the NCAA and amateur status. You have talked about that before. There has been some progress on that now that NIL money is available. A few players have been cashing in. Not a ton, but some.
I would also make the argument that a few Duke and UNC players are going to be on their way to a major pay day on June 23rd. (My son's HS graduation day. The major payday I'll be seeing is on the way out; writing tuition checks for the next four years.)
Duke vs UNC basketball may be the greatest rivalry in sports today. Perhaps along with Michigan vs Ohio State in football.
Regards

NYCelt,
Your son is graduating HS this year? He must be some kind of Doogie Howser because it seems like he was playing Little League not that long ago.
