Buyer's Remorse!!
Yep. Nothing has changed between the ears of James Harden. Strike 3. Still cowers when it counts in the big moments. Can't cure an NBA career of folding up shop in a trade or in a few weeks/months/years. Merry Christmas, PHI!! No ECF for you. No title for you.
BKN can and will have great offensive games with KD and Kryrie on the floor, but they won't have 4 over a series.
Might want to record Stephen A. this morning. He will redeem himself and his "apology" to Morey about the trade demanding everyone on the set say Stephen A. was right! Harden a fraud. Should be hilarious!!

Re: Buyer's Remorse!!
Embiid said that his two-man game with Harden was "unstoppable". Last night the Unstoppable Duo were a combined 8-34. Embiid had 19 ftas. The entire Nets team took 17 ftas.
The real fun came from watching Ben Simmons applaud his new team from the bench in an arena where he was getting booed even when he played there.
I sorta feel sorry for Embiid. He seems like a decent person, a great player, he just can't seem to win the big games despite having big games himself.

Couldn’t believe little Kyrie was shutting down Harden…???
Wtf Harden??? can’t think of a bigger collapse on a big game stage by a supposed superstar.

Re: Buyer's Remorse!!
The Sixers were put in a no win situation. That situation was made worse because they would not move Simmons unless they got an allstar coming back. Morey wanted to put the transaction in the win column. On paper getting JH looks like a win because Simmons was not playing. Now you add the great James Harden and you have a dynamic offensive duo! Offensive only.
With or without Simmons the Nets are the better team. They have quality depth and the Sixers do not.
The Sixers can now look forward to either going deeper into the rabbit hole by offering Harden an extension or paying him $44 million next season if he opts in. Harden cannot help that club unless he takes less money and plays defense (highly unlikely)
Both teams have pushed all of their chips to the middle of the table and both teams are holding losing hands this year. Just trading cards.. Go fish! A few shots in the arm could have changed the Nets season.

Re: Buyer's Remorse!!
Embiid may be Wilt, Jr. or Wilt II? That's the first player that popped into my mind when reading bobh's last sentence.
Wilt eventually came around and won twice but the Celtics were always in his way one way or another. Jury is still out on Embiid.
It's going to be darn near impossible to break Harden of what we saw once again last night. It's in his name. Hard-headed. Harden-ed. Maybe Embiid himself is big enough to overcome what Harden is going to do for yet another franchise. If last night is any indication, I'd get my wife's paycheck out again and on the table.

Re: Buyer's Remorse!!
One thing, the Sixers will be in the playoff. Not so sure about the Nets.
Speaking of which what are the odds that The Raptors jump over the Cavs for 6th place? The Nets are 3 games behind the Raptors for 7th place and 6 games back from 6th place. The Cavs are 3 games ahead of Raptors. It looks like Allen may not play again during the regular season according to reports out of Cleveland. I have the Cavs losing tonight in Miami and the Raptors losing at Phoenix. Collars are starting to tighten up. Cavs will have a 5 game lead and the Raptors will have a 2 game lead over Crooklyn.
Not much is all glitters for Crooklyn. They play 4 out of the next 5 games at home without KI including games with Dallas and Utah.
Two months ago we were in the hobby horse category but now we are in the stable with the other thoroughbreds.
There is no good outcome for the likes of Atlanta, Charlotte, Brooklyn, Toronto and Cleveland. They are all still potential play in teams. They are all Russian Roulette teams.

Harden has been known to not show up in big games. However, last night he just had a bad game. I wouldn't read anything more than that into it at least until the playoffs roll around.
