Little by little, starting to come together. If I were back in the "glimmer" business, Jermaine would have to qualify tonight.

Rondo's playmaking is becoming other-worldly. But we shouldn't overlook the fact that his teammates are doing a great job of getting themselves open.

Enjoy the post-game thread, everyone.

I watched very little of the game tonight, but with a look at the boxscore what jumps out for me is Rondo with 17 assists and 0 turnovers. Now that is a heck of a ratio!

The Celtics outscored the Pistons in every quarter.

+5 in the 1st
+8 in the 2nd
+7 in the 3rd
+3 in the 4th

Missed the whole thing but Marcus with the cell was able to keep me abrest of the C's.

Syracuse looked OK for an exhibition game against a weaker smallish team. SU is plenty big and athletic. Frosh center Fab Melo is a future first rounder perhaps a #1. Big at 7' and probably around 250. He has a jumper and CAN make foul shots! Whens the last time a SU big could do that! When they went into the 2-3 zone it was really lights out cause they have so much length all over. Jimmy B rotated 5 subs in and they all did OK. Not sure he will keep that up as he rarely goes beyond 7 deep once the season is underway.

Back to the C's.

First thing I noticed was Rondo 17-0 Asst TO stat and that we only had 8 as a team. Second thing was minutes were much more in line to where they needed to be for our AARP group. Rebounding ? Hard to judge just looking at numbers.

We were perfect from the line with 7 different people contributing to that.
21 trey attempts seems a bit much, but making 7 is the same as shooting 50% from 2.

Looked like a good win and nice to see players whom havent seen much if any action get out there and contribute even if only a little.

Saw most of the game on delay, that Piston team is the pits, now Joe D is feeling the brunt of the Darko fiasco, all his players are one dimensional, can do one or the other and that D is weak despite Ben Wallace. We have plenty to beat the weak teams, but are gonna need all our depth against the BIG boyz.Even without Bynum, LA looks great, they've added depth and athletcism.Good progress for JO,liked what I saw of Semih, were gonna need him and rest of crew healthy and the good news is its all still in place to happen.

Hi,
The game had a very good flow, everybody contributed. The only problem is that they played against a team with virtually no defense. I hope they used it as a stepping stone for the next few games against good teams.
A positive point of the game was use of JON and SE. The former got his confidence back and was clearly on the way to be former self. The latter was actually impressive for the first real game: no fuss, very active, did exactly what he's supposed to do. I hope Doc will use him more, even when both O'Neals are playing.
It was kind of funny to see Nate guarding Prince, but have to give Nate credit: his hustle was 100%. I hope he'll get into groove from behind the arc.
I hope Celtics will continue the positive trend.

Celtics played an excellent game against a very depleted Piston team.

I was impressed with JON who finally got into the offensive flow thanks to the 'Dime Master' Rajon Rondo.

Speaking of Rondo's 17 assists and no turnovers ...is no small accomplishment.

Nice to see SE get a little work.

Bucks game should be more competitive tonight.

great to see the posts. always learnin from you guys ...

isn't it great to see RR on such a roll !!

to add to what's been said, on the plus side, the bench played pretty well overall. and kudos to Erden - running the floor on that fast break was great, and his all around play made it seem like we kept the right guy! Harangody looked pretty good in the few minutes he had ...

on the minus side, i was pretty disappointed with Marquis' overall play during this game. yes, he rattled in a three, but he was not in a good flow on either end, and let an inbounds pass under the basket go to a cutter (i forget who) right under their basket for a lay up. c'mon, Quis, settle in and play your game !!

Rondo, KG and Pierce have had great starts to the season.
I am really looking forward to when Boston plays Washington.
The Rondo/Wall matchup will be fun to watch.
They both are extremely fast, great ball handlers, have long arms and phenomenal leaping ability.
I can see them dominating the PG position for years to come.

thx, TJ. looks like your Lakers are rolling along just fine absent Bynum ... not to divert but briefly from the post-game thread, but who's playing strong for you? i haven't seen your games. (maybe a PM is better ... i'll try that.)
