More training camp fodder? Wing size, sort of experienced.
Competition for the end of the bench?

Re: jake layman
He brings the total camp roster invites to 19, one short of the maximum of 20.
I always used to get worked up by the number of players on the roster, the number of players invited to camp, the number of contracts we were carrying. Sam always used to calm me down by reminding me that by Opening Night we will have a maximum of 15 players, leave it to Danny. Ok, so now I'm leaving it to Brad.
Personally, I don't think Jake Layman has even as much of a shot as Denzel Valentine. He's even more mediocre on both offense and defense. The only thing Jake has over Denzel is a couple of inches, but if you cannot defend your position(s) then those inches are immaterial.

Well, he does come cheaper than Carmelo Anthony and he defends just as well.
(Yes, that was sarcasm.)

Just a numbers game. Bodies to play with during practice.
Hey Bob, how was your excursion? I thought we might hear about it from you, it sounded like quite an adventure. Hope all is well with everyone. On vacation this week, back over the weekend and a calendar full of doctor appointments and hopefully a trip to NYC in early fall to see the Music Man

Layman - 6 years in $2,298,385
Melo $2,905,851
cheeper yes, but Melo can actually shoot. Layman has been a dreadful 3 point shooter
