MY NOTE: Just 20 years old today. He looked very good in Summer League (which means nothing since most of those players are bubble players hoping to just get a veteran's camp invite) and looked pretty good yesterday vs Charlotte (which means a little more since every player on the Hornets is good enough to get a camp invite. So the talent level is a little more uniformly better than SL, they made the first cut). He's already locked into a two-way contract, so he's ours. He's going to need a lot of seasoning since the learning curve for an NBA point guard/ball handler is pretty steep in the beginning. Furthermore, our back court is as stacked as I've seen it in years. He's, what, 5th on the depth chart behind Smart, Brogdon, White and Pritchard? Kabengele has a much clearer path to a contract upgrade than JD. He's older, has at least some NBA experienc and is grown into his body and, last but not least, we have a defenite need for a big.

I like the kid.
He will get plenty of reps in the G league and probably make a few cameo appearances with the regular team.
