Don't forget to watch the latest, always excellent 30 for 30 on ESPN. This one's on our boy Bill Walton. Looks like 4 episodes. 2 were last night. I particularly enjoyed his senior year at UCLA rehash of NCAA semi-finals in Greensboro, NC. Great Celtic and great series so far .

Looking forward to watching these episodes.

Bill Walton and John Wooden………now that’s quite the dynamic combination!

John Wooden was an all-encompassing massive influence on Bill's life. Still is long after Wooden's death in 2010. The Wizard of Westwood.

Again, if you haven't watched this, it is spectacular. Parts III & IV were on last night.

Didn't realize Bill signed all his money away owed to him by the Clippers Owner to play in Boston. DJ telling Bill not to go for it and his contemplating suicide were all were very gripping.

These are some of THE best documentaries ever as I'm sure many of you know. ESPN does an AMAZING job with these by giving the producers creative leeway like they do.

I’ll second that dbrown.

Walton and the 86 Celtics are my all time favorites. I learned so much that I didn’t know about Bill it was an incredible watch!

As good a sports story as I have ever seen.

Thanks for the heads up dbrown.

I've recorded the series and look forward to watching this one.

I'm old enough to remember those UCLA teams with Walton (how did that happen? I was very, very  young then...). Those were the days when UCLA dominated NCAA hoops. Some of the best centers to ever lace 'em up played under Wooden, himself one of the greatest coaches ever.

If Walton's body had held up, the conversation about greatest center, or perhaps greatest player, might be quite different today.

Above: Nater, Wooden and Walton. Any opposing team's nightmare.

Below: Nater, Kareem and Walton. UCLA was GOAT Center Central back then.
Nater was the first player ever drafted in the first round without starting a game in college.
Walton claimed the best center he ever played against in college was Nater.
