Host Skip Bayless has struggled to find a co-host to replace the charismatic and lively Shannon Sharpe, but he’s managed to get another big name in sports and culture.
Bayless announced Thursday (Aug. 3), that Lil Wayne will join him to debate the hottest topics in sports culture on Undisputed every Friday. Wayne’s schedule can be hectic, so Bayless says his appearance time on Friday will differ, but he assures that Wayne will be around for at least one segment.

Wayne has agreed, every Friday going forward, to do a segment with me live,” Bayless said on a recent episode of The Skip Bayless Show. “He might not always be in the studio, depending on his schedule, but he will join me every Friday for a segment. I don’t know, 12, 15 minutes. If he’s hot, if he’s rolling, maybe we’ll keep him a couple segments if he has the time. That, you can look forward to.”
Wayne and Bayless have been friends for years and constantly share photos of their hangouts on social media. Wayne’s also a huge sports fan; his lyrics from the past two decades are filled with sports references, and his performance at the 2023 ESPYS with remixed lyrics to “A Milli” proves he’s still paying attention to the culture.
Now, he’ll be using his way with words to go to war with Bayless weekly.
“He is so deep when it comes to sports,” Bayless said of Wayne. “He doesn’t yell or scream, but he does get emotional, and you hang on his every word because, trust me, he has thought through every single word. I like to say I see things and say things that others don’t, Wayne is my match.”
The Young Money boss will also lend his talents to craft a new theme song for Undisputed.
While Wayne’s presence will be appreciated on the show, it remains to be seen who will be Bayless’ true co-host despite rumors pointing to former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman.

I call him "Skip Clueless".  I always thought he was an idiot and then I heard him admit, on air, that he doesn't watch the games he's commenting on.  It's always emotionally rewarding to find out you're as good a judge of poor character as you think you are.

I'm not a fan of Stephen A(sshole) Smith either, but he knows the players and at least watches the games.

Sayless has been a clown act for quite a long long time.

I’ll never forget when he was a columnist or whatever they called him back then when he was writing for the now defunct Dallas Times Herald.
1977. Tony Dorsett’s rookie season with the Cowboys.
Dorsett shows up late and Landry benched him in the first half.

Clueless’ headlines the next morning was-
“It’s time to tar and feather Tony Dorsett”.

Of course that didn’t go over too well in The Black community.
Our radio station allowed listeners to call him out as opposed to “taking him out”.

They wanted Skip’s ass in a shoe box and shipped out of town.

After everything quieted down Skippy skipped over to the Dallas Morning News where he continued his reign of terror for a number of years before radio and TV decided to lower their standards and hire clowns like he.

This is who he is. A sideshow and a disgrace to sports journalism.

I don’t care how much he and his self proclaimed mentee Stephen A are raking in.

They’re a disgrace to their profession.

(Stephen A will probably try and top this and balance out the card by hiring the 50ish over the hill and hitless Eminem for his Friday follies)

What happened to Shannon Sharpe?! Did he figure out that Skip was going to always be a kucklehead and moved on to greener pastures? I could tell by listening to just one of his segments that SS was very talented, engaging and might be in the wrong place. Good for him. Where's he headed to now?

I don't know where Sharp will end up. I wasn't too crazy about his act either. There was some noise about Stephen A$$ wanting him but it hasn’t happened so until it does Stephen A$$ should still be considered a door without a knob. No pull!

I must have caught him on a good day!! But as I recall SS had this "I'm talking to an idiot" look on his face at times! But he managed to keep his composure.
