Dalano Banton Traded To Portland

Jaden Springer effectively replacing Dalano Banton as the #Celtics‘ development guard. Won’t impact the team this year, but he’s on the 3rd year of his rookie deal, so Boston has an extra year of team control. Banton hadn’t shown a ton this season. –

MY NOTE: And here I thought Banton was Joe's fair-haired boy. Trading him for a 2nd round pick we'll probably never going to get to use is basically moving him for nothing, to open up a roster spot. We're back down to 14 again. On any other day I'd say that keeps Queta's hopes alive, but we got Tillman to fill that spot. I think Brad is hoping to pick up a wing off of the waiver wire.
