Post Game Thread - Celtics beat Bobcats 93-62 Sat 12/11/2010
In a game where both teams’ offense seemed to be stuck in the mud, the Celtics somehow managed to get their game on track and destroyed the bobcats by 31 points, 93-62. Neither team shot particularly well but Boston dominated on the glass, 48-38 and also on fast break points, 22-9.
One cannot help but wonder if this team would be better served by a coach that would encourage his boys to run. Their offense is painful to watch. Larry Brown may know a lot about basketball but at this point the game has passed him by. Larry is a stubborn coach who refuses to design a strategy around his players. Instead he has one too many square pegs that will not fit into his round hole. Just ask Raymond Felton who was freed from bondage and is now enjoying his best year with the Knicks.
Boston won their 10th straight game and will take the court on Wed against a resurgent Knicks team that won their 8th straight over the Nuggets.
Semi played well in extended minutes with Shaq sitting out another game.
Baby scored his regular 16
Daniels played great defense
KG had another double double
I am still a little surprised that the Celtics could play a well below average game and still win by 31.
The next game should present more of a challenged as the Knicks will be looking to measure their new found confidence against the Powerhouse Celtics. Put your track shoes on because the Knicks love to run and shoot.

saw some of the game after the fact on replay, glimmer has to go to Semih,4 blocks with a bad shoulder and KG another double-double in less than 30 minutes.Winning by 31 with so many injured pieces says alot about the players, the system and the coaching.....kudos to Danny and Doc

Yeah, being there with my two oldest was a blast this time. Last time, two years ago it went to OT and the Celtics lost it.
Initially, the refs swallowed their whistles and nothing was called in the first quarter, yet the score was ridicuolously low. Both teams prefer to play the half court and Charlotte couldn't throw it in the ocean the whole game.
There were actually more Celtic fans there than Bobcat fans if noise level is the indicator. Late in the 3rd quarter, the section next to us started the "Let's Go Celtics" cheer that waved its way around the arena, much to the disgust of the Bobcat fans. It bordered on slightly obnoxious in that we were up by 100 at that point, but we did it anyway. MJ sat on the end of the bench. Certainly didn't want to be in that locker room after the game.
The boys got to see KG get on the bus to go to the game. We were looking for a place to eat before the game near the arena and were about to walk passed the Ritz Carlton. There was a bus out front. Paul Pierce, Glen Davis, Shaq and Doc were already on. Huge crowd standing around taking pictures. Evidently two buses took the Celtics to the arena. RR and RA took the early one. KG was the last to get on this one. We were about 5 feet from him. Boys were elated. Said this was the best Christmas present ever! By the way, Fuel Pizza is a great place to eat, just down the road one block from the Ritz on the other side.
Clearly, Doc is saving Shaq for Wednesday. Clearly didn't need him. Will need him Wednesday. Team is very confident they can win with ANY combination on the floor. Semih is gettin' it. Great game for him.
Our past fear of injuries and resulting losing games has to be subsiding. Our fear of blowing big leads, while I attest is still very common throughout the league, and losing the resulting contest, has to be subsiding. They are certianly doing a good job of putting our past concerns to rest.
Knicks are up next. Someone's streak is over after Wednesday. Our advantage is the Knicks are worse at home than on the road. I'll still say the line will be with NY, maybe 1 or 2. I hope Shaq and KG hand AS his a$$ on a platter. He ain't scoring 30, I can tell you that much.

It would be nice to see Shaq kick AS's a$$ as hard as AS kicked Shaq in the calf.
