Sam - Tell The Leprechaun To Back-Off!
Sam,
Since you are the longest running fan of the Celtics and by now 100% Irish, you have to tell the little green man to back-off and to stop with the SHENANIGANS! I cannot bare going through more injuries again!
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

112288,
One can only hope that the Law of Averages will work in our favor and will confine the injuries so they occur sooner rather than later. That's basically what happened last season (until Perk got hurt in Game Six).
It certainly does seen as though the injuries are piling up—in both their frequency and their duration. However, regarding the duration part, it's probably inflated by Doc's policy to be ultra-conservative in allowing players to return. I'm pretty certain (without real proof) that many of these guys have missed games that they wouldn't have missed if it had been playoff time.
Doc's conservative approach is as close as it gets to ensuring that injuries will not become chronic. He very correctly wants to encourage the most favorable odds on a healthy squad from late April onward. His perspective makes it uncomfortable to fans who understandably want to see everything go as well as possible at all times Sometimes a leap of faith becomes very important.
