To celebrate the 4th I watched Elia Kazan's "America, America" on Turner Classic Movies, the story of a young Greek boy's dream of coming to America, much like my own father's story. Anyone who watches this film and doesn't understand why America is exceptional is an idiot. I get goosebumps just thinking about how lucky I am that my father and my mother's parents took the risks necessary to get here and to offer me life as one born in the USA. What a great country.

Funny, I got hooked on that same movie last night on AMC. Pretty good flick, and a great reminder to all.
