I do not know if any of you ever read the Celtics Blog on line. Well, today, I was checking if they had anything interesting to say. There was a
clip that Jeff Clark wrote about Ray Allen's last shot. Read this summary of his fictional supposition of the Celtic's last game and Ray's last year
with they Celtics. Naturally, I cannot agree with his thoughts on the way the season may end. It is funny, though, to see what Celtic fans are
turning to to try and keep the flame alive! I would be interested in other visions of the future, with a shortened season facing all of us.

Glen Davis made a surprise appearance at Rajon Rondo's refurbished court dedication at Malcolm X Park, apparently ready to put a troubled postseason in the past and expressing desire to return to the Celtics.

Davis is an unrestricted free agent and Celtics president Danny Ainge said the team would be interested in re-signing him. Davis did not appear as enthusiastic about re-joining the team next season after the emotional loss to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

But today, Davis said he wants to come back and wants to clear any ill feelings with Ainge and coach Doc Rivers. Of course, that is impossible during the NBA lockout because players are not allowed to contact team officials.

"Most definitely that’s my No. 1 priority [coming back],” he said yesterday. “See if I can come back here and play. And if can’t, go somewhere else.

"I think in a lot of situations you have to air things out. Especially with a player that’s growing. You’ve got to talk and clear things up and I think that time will come whenever the opportunity comes. I’m just trying to focus on working out.”

Davis, who looked noticeably trimmer than he did in May, averaged just 4.9 points and 39 percent shooting in the playoffs and it appeared his Celtics' run was over. But he eagerly embraced Rondo, who joined Mayor Thomas Menino (all three pictured right) in dedicating three new courts at the pickup basketball hotbed.

Menino invited Davis to participate in the ceremony and he gave him a hearty embrace before departing. Since Davis is a free agent, he has no restrictions if he chooses to sign overseas and he said he is "definitely" exploring that possibility.

"There’s a lot of people who would try that, if everything goes the way it’s supposed to go [with the lockout],” he said. “I would definitely be interested, to get the experience and also to keep that edge. I just really think a lot of guys over there love to play the game. It’s not about the money. It’s about playing the game that we love.”

Meanwhile, Rondo said he has a full range of motion in his dislocated left elbow that caused him to play in extreme pain in Games 4 and 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against Miami. He said that swelling remains in the elbow and he has not participated in full-contact workouts but he would be healthy by the team's late-September training camp.

Rondo also said he plans to return to the University of Kentucky to continue chis education. He has 60 degree hours and needs 40 more to graduate. Rondo attended Kentucky for two seasons before entering the 2006 draft but said he had been taking college-credit courses since his sophomore year in high school.
