REPORT: SAUNDERS 'POSITIVE' ABOUT KG RETURN

Kevin Garnett's former Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders is "positive Garnett, who is a free agent, will sign for another year with the Celtics," according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune (h/t Red's Army).
Not only did Saunders coach the 14-time All-Star in Minnesota for the first 10 years of his NBA career, including a 2004 MVP season, but he joined the Celtics coaching staff as an advisor during their playoff run after being fired by the Wizards 17 games into this past season.
"I was basically in on every team meeting, every players meeting, every coaches meeting, the locker room, so it was pretty all-inclusive," Saunders told the Star Tribune of his time in Boston. "It was a very good situation."
According to the report, Saunders and Celtics coach Doc Rivers developed a relationship when Rivers served as an assistant to Saunders during Australia's Goodwill Games in 2001. Saunders is considered one of few coaches in Garnett's trusted circle.
