Considering that you can only have two affiliated players, it says something that Micah Downs is one of them. Doc must see something.

The other affiliated player is Brian Cusworth, of Harvard. Other than the blurb provided below, here's draftexpress's write-up on him.

Celtics camp cut Micah Downs was among eight players invited to attend
training camp with the Maine Red Claws of the D-League. Downs is one of
two affiliated players -- the other being Harvard 7-footer Brian
Cusworth -- after attending camp with Boston.

The Claws also invited familiar faces in forward Chris Wright, guard
Xavier Silas, and guard Chamberlain “Champ” Oguchi, while guard Farnold
Degand, guard DaQuan Brooks and guard Raheem Singleton all earned a
spot at tryouts.

Read on for bios on each of the invitees.

Chris Wright: Wright (6-8, 220, Dayton) was the Red Claws first round selection (3rd overall) in the
2011 NBA Development League Draft, appearing in just four games with the
team before earning a GATORADE Call-Up from the Golden State Warriors.
Wright, 24, appeared in 24 games with the Warriors during his rookie
season. He was invited to training camp in 2012 by the Toronto Raptors.

Xavier Silas
: Silas (6-5, 200, N. Illinois) was acquired by the Red Claws as an Affiliate Player from the Philadelphia
76ers after attending the Sixers’ 2011 training camp. He appeared in 40
games with the Red Claws, averaging 9.8 ppg, before earning a late
season call up by Philadelphia where he appeared in two regular season
and two playoff games for the 76ers. Despite suffering a serious facial
injury while with the 76ers summer league team, Silas, 24, earned an
invite to the 76ers’ 2012 training camp before rejoining Maine.

Champ Oguchi
: Oguchi (6-6, 200, Illinois State)
rejoins the Red Claws after a one-season absence, having spent the
2011-12 season playing overseas. Oguchi, 26, played in 38 games with the
Red Claws in 2010-11, averaging 10.2 ppg. Oguchi caught the NBA’s eye
this summer after an impressive appearance as a member of the 2012
Nigerian Olympic Team, including a 35-point performance in a loss to
France, earning workout invites by several NBA teams, including the
Miami Heat.

Micah Downs : Downs (6-8, 200, Gonzaga) joins the
Red Claws as an Affiliate Player, having attended the Boston Celtics
2012 training camp. A transfer from Kansas, Downs spent three seasons
with Gonzaga, appearing in 33 games as a senior and averaging 7.9 ppg.
Described in scouting reports as “a fantastic leaper” who can “score at
will”, Downs, 26, spent the last three seasons overseas with teams in
Croatia, Belgium and Spain.

Brian Cusworth
: Cusworth (7-0, 255, Harvard) joins
the Red Claws as an Affiliate Player, having attended the Celtics 2012
training camp. A three-year starter for Harvard, Cusworth averaged 17.8
ppg for the Crimson as a senior. Cusworth, 28, has spent five seasons
playing overseas, primarily in Estonia and Spain. His most decorated
season came in 2007-08, when he was named the 2008 All-Estonia Player of
the Year, Center of the Year and Import Player of the Year and was
named to the All-Estonia First Team.

Farnold Degand
: Degand (6-4, 170, NC State) earned
an invite to the Red Claws’ 2012 training camp following an invite-only
tryout held for Red Claws’ hopefuls by the Celtics in September. Degand,
24, enters his first pro season following three seasons with NC State.
As a senior, he appeared in 29 games and averaged 5.5 ppg. Degand played
for Team Kiev at the 2012 Summer League in Las Vegas, appearing in 4
games and averaging 9.0 ppg.

DaQuan Brooks : Brooks (5-10, 150, Western
Connecticut State) earned an invite to the Red Claws’ 2012 training camp
following an invite-only tryout for Red Claws’ hopefuls held by Celtics
in September. Brooks scored a school record 2,269 career points at
WestConn, shattering a record that had stood since 1967, and was a 2012
