Who Gets Rondo's Dimes?

Here is the breakdown, in total numbers:

• Garnett: 58
  
• Pierce: 49
  
• Jason Terry: 31
  
• Bass: 28
  
• Chris Wilcox: 22
  
• Jeff Green: 15
  
• Jared Sullinger: 15
  
• Courtney Lee: 12
  
• Leandro Barbosa: 2
  

Now, here are the numbers based upon % of fgm (i.e. what percentage of a player's points come from a Rondo assist):

• Wilcox: 57.9%
  
• Garnett: 42.3%
  
• Terry: 37.3%
  
• Pierce: 36.8%
  
• Bass: 35%
  
• Sullinger: 34.1%
  
• Lee: 24.5%
  
• Green: 19.2%
  
• Barbosa: 0.05%
  

It's not surprising that Barbosa and Rondo don't have much going together, they're not usually on the floor together. It's also not surprising that Wilcox has such a high % of fgm from Rondo assists. Same with KG, they pick-and-pop like crazy. I am a bit surprised with Green and Terry and Pierce, considering how often they ARE on the floor with Rondo.


Green has played 469 minutes so far. Sully has played 374. You would think that Green would have more assisted fgm from Rondo than Sully, especially given how many of Sully's points are coming off of offensive rebounds and assorted cleanup while Green's come out of the offense.


Pierce is the high assist leader as far as assisting on Rondo's fgm, with 11 assists. How about some high-post-give-and-go between KG and Rondo, Doc?

I don't know about the others but if we take Barbosa there could be only 3 % numbers: 100, 50 or 0. Or did I misunderstand the numbers?

Not surprised at all by Wilcox's %, he and Rondo anticipate each other extremely well.

Unlike much of the Hollinger drivel, these are interesting stats because they're uncomplicated and their context is unambiguously made field goals. They'd be worth checking once in a while as the season progresses.
