Some reports are saying it's close, others are saying that the Maloofs are turning down a $500M offer from a group including Steve Ballmer (CEO of Microsoft). According to Forbes the Kings are valued at $300M. Poor babies...

Seattle retained the rights to use the name Supersonics, so if this deal goes through they could rename the team that.
